Golf 3 ball betting is a type of betting in which you are given a list of three golfers who will participate in an upcoming tournament. You may then pick any one of those golfers and bet that he or she will finish with a better score than the other two golfers on the list.

In 3 ball betting, it does not matter how well your player finishes in the overall tournament. The only thing you are concerned with is how well your player performs relative to the other two golfers. If your golfer ends up with the lowest score of the group, you win the bet.
How 3 Ball Golf Betting Works Online
A sample golf 3 ball bet looks something like this:
Dustin Johnson +220
Tiger Woods -125
Davis Love III +320
Let’s say you pick Dustin Johnson in this 3-ball bet. If Dustin ends up with the lowest score out of the three golfers on this list, you will win the bet. The odds of +220 mean that for every $1.00 you wager on Dustin, you will be paid $2.20. So a $100 bet on Dustin will result in a $220 payout.
Tiger Woods is believed to be the strongest golfer of the three so the odds for him are -125. The negative sign in front of his odds means that you will have to risk $1.25 for every $1.00 in potential winnings. So if you bet $125 on Tiger Woods, you will win $100 if he ends up with a better score than his two opponents.
Three ball bets are good for golf fans who have extensive knowledge of individual golfers and want to earn a larger return than what is offered by golf matchup bets. Outright golf betting has even higher returns, but that type of betting is much more difficult because it involves so many more players.
